Walk + Draw

Slow down, take a moment for yourself and reconnect when you join me on a Walk + Draw in nature.

A guided walk in a beautiful East Lothian location, we will engage in the activity of sketching and drawing as a focus for creating and enhancing well-being. A visual journal of our experience in the landscape, the aim is to create a sense of connection with our surroundings and how we feel being in nature.

East Lothian has a variety of landscapes including fields, hills, woodlands, and beaches. The changing weather will add an element to respond to in our sketchbooks, especially wind and rain!

I will be encouraging periods of silence during the walk so that we can fully immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds of the landscape. There will be quick sketches and two or three chances for more sustained drawings. By the end you will feel replenished and restored.

“What a perfect way to spend my time! Carrie is informative and sensitive and guided us to engage fully with the environment as we moved through it. Carrie has a talent for selecting the perfect spots to pause and draw so you have a wonderful variety in your sketchbook at the end of the session. In a world where it is becoming more difficult to find time to slow down and take a moment, I cannot recommend Walk + Draw enough.” – Jo Perkins Art @joperkinsart
