A Roundup Of My Latest News

Over the last few weeks things have been moving along very quickly. I’d been working towards some (business) goals, and I am pleased to say that I am meeting those goals, and things are changing in very positive ways.

At the same time I have had to make sure I was taking enough time for myself, to rest and recover, and to keep my energy levels up.

March 2015 Business RetreatAs you may have seen I went back to Asheville, NC, the other week, for my second business retreat. It was amazing – dare I say, even more powerful than the first time. You can read my blog post about the first time I went at “My Business Retreat Adventure”.

Then when I came back from my week away, I found a new flat and moved in! So my time and attention has been focused on moving and settling in. Which has been really fun, and as you can imagine, time-consuming.

I can finally sit down and write a new blog post – this one – and update you all on my latest news.

First of all, check out my new online shop where I am selling my Winged Wildlife drawings (framed originals, prints and greeting cards). I am still in the process of building my shop, in a way that is user friendly and easy to navigate and order through, so please bear with me whilst I do so.

Secondly, some of you knew that I was renting a studio space – I have now let go of the space as it wasn’t quite working out for me. Instead, I have found a one-bed flat where I can work from and create my drawings and paintings (before I was sharing a flat and there wasn’t enough room), so I am excited about the potential of that.

Thirdly, as I mentioned above I went on my second business retreat adventure in North Carolina. It was fantastic to meet up again with fellow entrepreneurs I met last time, and to meet a lot of new and lovely people. It was fun, intense and insightful. I learnt a lot and I have already started implementing and applying what I’ve learnt.

Vision Board Workshop March 2015Fourthly, I ran a successful Vision Board Workshop in Edinburgh at the start of March and I am planning the next one, which may be in early May. Keep an eye out for the date either by following me on Facebook and/or signing up to my newsletter.  Vision boards are a powerful tool to help you create the life you want and love. It’s a visual representation of what you want to be, do and have in your life. A Vision Board is filled with images of your hopes, dreams and desires, and it’s personal to you. I regularly create Vision Boards as they help me to focus and be more creative and productive.

Lastly, I’d like to mention my upcoming Discover & Develop Your Creativity Workshop on Tuesday 14th April, 2015. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Edinburgh have asked me to teach this workshop/training to their members, however, non-members are also welcome to join. In the workshop, I’ll go over some practical ways to start exploring and enhancing your creativity as well as why creativity and creative expression are important for your well-being, focus, productivity and life satisfaction. I will also look at the definition of creativity and what it means to be creative. If you’re in Edinburgh, please come along, it would be great to see you! (You can also visit the JCI Edinburgh Facebook page for more info).

What’s new and good with you? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

  • Hi Carrie!
So excited for your new live/work studio flat and that I got to see you again in Asheville. My husband, Michael just returned from a week of golf in Scotland where her golfed the Old Course at St. Andrews and enjoyed some spectacular weather. Will look forward to seeing some pictures of your new space.
    Hugs, Corinne
