Untold: The Rock Trust Exhibition And Auction 2020

I’m delighted to announce that three of my postcard sized mixed media paintings will be featured in the upcoming Rock Trust exhibition and auction titled Untold.

Due to the current climate this year’s exhibition and auction will solely take place online, and the art works will be unframed.

Over 150 works from young and emerging artists, to those already established, will be shown. You’ll be able to browse and bid on them from the comfort of your own home.

All proceeds from the sale of these works will go straight to the Rock Trust to support their valuable work helping young people affected by homelessness. I love how buying art will make a difference!

In the Rock Trust’s own words:

‘Untold’ is a word which reveals that which is hidden, clouded, mysterious, and forgotten. It marks and illuminates the infinite stories and anecdotes that are present at multiple scales, and from different perspectives.

The theme ‘Untold’ also speaks to a broader untold story about young people and particularly those who have been at risk of homelessness. Frequently, the stories that are told about young people at risk of homelessness neglect to mention the brilliant and multi-faceted individuality of each young person. Therefore, through the inclusion of young emerging artists alongside more established artists, this exhibition and auction highlights the immense talent, skill and electric ambition of each young person.

My three pieces are titled as follows:

“Windswept On The East Lothian Coast”

“A Storm Is Coming (Yellowcraig)”

“A New Dawn (East Lothian)”

All three are mixed media on paper, and each one is 14.9cm x 10cm.

A couple of cool, interactive virtual galleries have been set up. If you’d like to have a look here are the links:

Gallery 2https://publish.exhibbit.com/gallery/626627478/long-gallery-41600/

There is a separate auction page, like previous times, however you can access this page through the gallery when you select a piece to look at by pressing the ‘bid on this piece’ button. It’s all very new and snazzy, and hopefully a lot of fun to explore and use.

Perhaps you’ll find a lovely Christmas present for a loved one, or for yourself?

Bidding and exhibition starts at 10am (UK time) on November 20th and ends on December 4th, 2020. Please note again all the pieces are unframed and the virtual galleries are for illustrative purposes.

I am looking forward to being a part of this wonderful event – hope you can join in and enjoy it, too!
